Meet Me At the Poll. It’s Going Down.

Hey,

2020 is a brave new world. We’ve already had an Iowa Caucus debacle, impeachment without acquittal, and Mitt Romney of all people taking a stand. It’s long overdue that we reconsider all of our preconceived notions about what politics is and what it will be going forward. Especially if the chaotic results of the 2018 Midterm are anything to go by.

A woman in Hampton Roads, Virginia (MY HOMETOWN!) correctly predicted the huge 41-seat Democratic Congressional swing by taking everything she knows about politics and flushing it down the toilet. Namely, that polls and debates and political advertising don’t matter whatsoever. All that matters, according to Rachel Bitecofer, is voter turnout and Donald Trump being president has done wonders to increase voter turnout of the Democratic kind.

Based on Bitecofer’s projections in 2018 and now 2020, it seems like the Democrats will be a slam dunk to wrestle the presidency away from Trump. The phrase “Vote or Die” could not be anymore spot-on. So I ask everyone reading this to make a point to run not walk to cast your vote in November.
